Welcome
"The Times They Are a-Changin" - Bob Dylan
I wonder what Bob Dylan would have done if he were making music today. Would he be making YouTube videos? Posting his own songs to SoundCloud? Would he have a blog?
Honestly, I kind of doubt that he would have done any of those things. In my opinion he was mostly about the music. He relied on other people to produce and market his music. And his choices were limited.
The music world is very different and at the same time very similar today. What we hear on the radio (or Pandora) is still very much controlled by just a hand full of companies. Sure, there are more and more 'indie' labels around but they pretty much do business the same way the majors do.
Some music appreciators, on the other hand, are discovering new music and new ways to discover new music. (or in the case of some of the music I make - old music.)
Any music creator can make their music available to the world today. That's what this blog will be about.
